These are the terms on which Yehuda Levy, a sole trader trading as Alcove, of Hafetz Haim 14, Ra'anana 43339, Israel, provides the Alcove service. By creating an organisation or joining one, you agree to them.

What the service is

Alcove lets an organisation list its desks and rooms and lets its people book them. It is provided as it stands. It is not an estates, facilities, visitor or access-control system, and nothing in it should be relied on to control physical entry to a building.

Accounts

You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in. Administrators can add and remove people, and can see and cancel any booking in their organisation. If you claim a mail domain, anybody who signs up with an address at that domain joins your organisation automatically, and you are responsible for choosing to switch that on.

Paying

Alcove costs $3 USD per person in your organisation, per month. Everyone on the roster counts, whether they book anything or not. Prices are in USD; Paddle may present the total in your local currency at checkout.

New organisations get 14 days without paying and without entering a card. When the trial or a subscription ends, new bookings stop. Bookings already made, the board and the usage report stay readable, and people can still check in, move and cancel.

Payment is taken by Paddle, who are the merchant of record and the seller. Their terms apply to the transaction, and refunds and tax are handled by them.

Stopping

You can cancel at any time and you can close your organisation at any time, both from within the app. Closing an organisation cancels its subscription and deletes its desks, rooms, floor plans, bookings and roster. It does not delete anybody’s Alcove account.

We may suspend or end an account that is not paid for, that is being used unlawfully, or that is being used in a way that damages the service for others. Except where something unlawful is happening, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.

Your data

Your organisation’s data is yours. We hold it to run the service and for nothing else. What we store and who else receives it is set out in the privacy page.

Export what you need before closing an organisation. The usage report downloads as a CSV and is the export the product provides.

Availability

There is no uptime guarantee. Alcove runs on third-party infrastructure and it will occasionally be unavailable, for maintenance and for reasons outside anybody’s control. If you need a contractual service level, this is not the right product and we would rather tell you now.

Liability

[THIS CLAUSE NEEDS A LAWYER. The usual shape is: nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded; liability for everything else is capped at the amount paid in the preceding twelve months; and indirect or consequential loss, lost profit and lost data are excluded. Whether that is enforceable, and whether it is appropriate for a sole trader, is exactly the question to pay somebody to answer.]

In plain terms and without limiting the above: Alcove records who intends to sit where. It is not a guarantee that a desk will be available, that a room is fit for a purpose, or that anybody turned up.

Changes

We may change these terms. If a change matters to you we will tell organisation administrators by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you may close the organisation before then if you disagree.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction.
